Jennifer has over 20 years of healthcare experience, ranging from critical access to large healthcare systems. Her diverse background in community, long term care, and acute care settings in addition to academia give her a special insight into understanding the challenges faced across all settings by staff and leaders. Jennifer possesses the unique ability to translate complex issues and research into everyday, usable and operational tactics to drive excellence.

  • Assisted with Magnet re-designation activities in multiple systems, and created environments of evidence-based practice and leadership
  • Extensive leadership background with the Arizona Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association and the Western Institute for Nursing


  • Skilled presenter and writer, with over 60 publications and presentations in the last several years with publishers such as the American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International on topics including nurse satisfaction, management and leadership and patient outcomes
  • Currently serving on the American Academy of Nursing’s expert panel for Building Health Care Systems Excellence. 
  • Currently co-authoring another book about RN transition into Practice for STTI
