Helen is a unique, engaging professional known for establishing cutting edge innovative programs while utilizing a real-world approach. She understands the nuances and strategies necessary to successfully implement change and to assure sustainability. With a distinctive background in clinical and administrative healthcare, public health and education, 40 years ago, Helen was a pioneer in establishing intelligent alternatives to inpatient acute care which included outpatient surgery centers and urgent care centers. As one of the imaginative creators of the Arizona State Immunization Information System (ASIIS), she continues to promote resource efficient innovation. More recently, one of her passions is the Patient Centered Medical Home which she sees as an opportunity to improve the outcomes of the growing numbers of chronically ill, while increasing and strengthening partnerships, utilizing technology and creating new healthcare roles.
