About
Dr. Jose Leyba is a third-generation Arizona native whose career spans more than 45 years in the P–20 education system. He began as a classroom teacher and later served in roles including principal, assistant superintendent for human resources and superintendent.
He moved to the Maricopa Community Colleges, where he served as Acting Vice Chancellor for Human Resources, Vice President and Provost. He has also served as Interim Vice President and Acting Provost at Pima Community College and Interim President at Los Angeles Mission College. In addition to his work as a consultant and executive coach for Thunderbird, he serves as a search consultant and advisor.
