Organizational Initiatives

Service Excellence is an organization-wide initiative which transforms the culture with significant involvement of staff level participants. Key work includes identifying and operationalizing service standards, design and implementation of a roll-out plan, selecting critical success measures, and evaluation.

Patient Safety is an organization-wide initiative which transforms the healthcare environment with significant involvement of all levels of participants. Key work includes addressing team communication, establishing safety walkarounds, and assuring the existence of a just culture.

Being designated as a Magnet facility is a meaningful accomplishment and requires significant effort across the organization. We can assist your organization in pursuing Magnet designation in a number of ways; gap analysis and action planning when application for designation was not awarded, mock site survey and preparation, and feedback on written documentation including thoroughness in addressing sources of evidence and quality of written documentation.

Strategic Planning

Using a process of Appreciative Inquiry to guide the client, strategic planning begins with the development and clarification of the vision and mission of the organization. Business plans are developed in a facilitated process involving critical stakeholders in the organization. Follow through is enhanced with periodic reviews of performance against plans revealing opportunities to strengthen efforts and refine approaches as necessary.

Leadership Development

Leadership development is a planned process of education and application delivered in half day sessions for leaders, managers and supervisors. Pre-developed topics on the following general areas can be selected to address an organization's specific development needs; understanding others, handling conflict, the varied roles of a leader, management and leadership, managing change, participating in organizational initiatives, leading a modern workforce, and many others. Coaching

Executive coaching is a private and confidential opportunity for executive staff to analyze and enhance their leadership performance and receive feedback from an objective and neutral third party who understands the broader work team, culture and organizational goals. Executive teambuilding is a periodic facilitated process with 4-6 members, focusing on their performance within the executive team. Common issues include expectations of each other, being "on", support and encouragement of the team and organizational initiatives, dealing effectively with conflict.
